Webscale Technology Wins New Industry Awards

Webscale Technology Wins New Industry Awards

2020 was a rollercoaster year to say the very least. Yet, with enormous challenges come opportunity and fortunately for Webscale, with its laser focus on the exploding ecommerce segment, it was a year of phenomenal growth and progress. So, when we received these two awards at the end of the year, it felt good to get some external validation for the work we’ve been doing.

The Pandemic Tech Innovation Awards – hosted by TMC – named Webscale a 2020 Pandemic Tech Innovation Award winner. The awards recognize hardware, software, devices/peripherals, applications, and services that help society and business function effectively in the face of challenges caused by pandemics.

“Webscale has displayed its commitment to quality and innovation in the development of their tech solutions contributing to managing and overcoming pandemic outbreaks,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “I look forward to more innovation from Webscale and their continued effort towards improving the future of the current challenges faced by the most recent pandemic.”

We were recognized for two solutions – Webscale Core and M1 Support.

Webscale Core, launched on 2nd April 2020, puts our enterprise-class infrastructure into the hands of SMB merchants for a low price point, making it ideal for those either looking to save some money, or for those just starting their online journey. It was designed to help merchants get online fast during the pandemic, while also providing an option for merchants who were seeing a slowdown and wanted to reduce costs while still being prepared for seasonal increases in traffic.

Then there was Webscale M1 Support. With over 150K ecommerce businesses still on Magento 1 when the pandemic rolled around, many found themselves in a tough spot. Pricey re-platforming projects were getting delayed, and the looming gap in the critical security patches, needed to keep their sites secure in the interim, was fast approaching. Webscale M1 Support offers hosting, security, patches, and performance improvements, in a nutshell, but for many business owners it was, and continues to be, a lifeline until they are in a position to make their next move.

The winners of the 2020 Pandemic Tech Innovation Awards can be found on Pandemic Tech News online and TMCnet.

Our second award was from New World Report’s Software and Technology Awards, who named Webscale the Best Ecommerce Cloud Automation Platform. Automation sits at the very heart of what we do, and it’s what truly sets us apart from traditional hosting providers in the ecommerce segment. Powering thousands of storefronts, including Adidas, Swarovski, Unilever/Murad, Dollar General, Snake River Farms, Dolls Kill, and Ego Shoes, among others, Webscale leverages automation to provide predictive auto-scaling, 360-degree security from the browser to the backend, and to simplify the provisioning of cloud infrastructure for seamless, push button, zero downtime deployments.

“This award is indicative of the hard work, innovation, dedication, and outstanding effort Webscale has shown over the past 12 months,” said New World Report in a release.

As we said at the beginning – “the reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more” – well, American Scientist, Jonas Salk said it actually. So as always, we’ll take the appreciative nods, but it’s back to work, especially with what we have planned for you in 2021.
